Overview

This section refers to the ability for administrators to define their channel's geofence settings.

Channel Name & Description

Channel Geofence

Geofence settings enable access control to a channel based on the user's location. It can determine whether the channel is accessible to users within or outside the defined geofenced area. This allows administrators to restrict content availability based on regional licensing agreements or content distribution rights.

Administrators can define specific geographical boundaries or restrictions for accessing and viewing the Channel, by defining specific countries. Geofence settings rely on geolocation technology to determine a user's location, which utilizes IP addresses to identify the user's geographical position and compare it against the defined geofenced areas. When a user attempts to access a geofenced channel from an unauthorized location, the platform displays a message informing the user about the restriction.

Select "Include" (whitelist) and then the countries that will have access to the Channel or "Exclude" (blacklist) and then the countries that will not have access to the Channel.
