Settings Menu

Overview

This is the screen where users can access and modify various preferences, configurations, and options related to their account or platform usage. It provides users with control over customizing their experience and adjusting settings according to their needs and preferences.

Edit Profile

The profile section displays information about a user's profile, where they can view and manage their profile details, such as birthday, name, email and the profile picture (or avatar).

Users can see this screen by clicking on their avatar at the top of this section or the "Edit Profile" option.

• Back: back button. Clicking on this button will take the user back to the Settings Menu.
• Save: save button. Clicking on this button will save the information if the validation criteria has been met.
• Avatar: the user's profile image, an optional field. To add or edit the profile picture, users can click on the pencil icon. Users have the ability to take a picture or add one from the photo library.
• Username: required field. When a new account is created, a username is automatically created. Users may edit their username at any time. Usernames must be unique.
• Email: required field. Must be a valid and unique email.
• First name: optional field.
• Last name: optional field.
• Birthday: optional field. Users must be at least 16 years old.
• Reset Password: To update the password, users can simply select the Reset Password option. A new screen will be displayed with 3 fields:
  • Current Password: user's current password
  • Password: new password, following the platform's requirements (a min of 8 characters, at least 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 number and 1 special character)
  • Confirm Password: must match new "Password"

Dark Mode Switch

Ability to enable the dark theme, a user interface design option that uses predominantly dark colors, such as dark gray or black, for the background and UI elements. It provides an alternative color scheme to the traditional light interface, with the aim of reducing eye strain, conserving battery life, and creating a visually pleasing experience in low-light or dark environments.

Push Notification

This section gives users the ability to enable and disable push notifications at any time.

Language

Users can select their preferred language by selecting one of the available options:

• English
• Portuguese (BR)
• Spanish

Help Center

Users have the option to directly contact the app's support team from within the help center section through email, allowing users to seek personalized assistance when required. The email has important pre-populated information, such as app version, device information, username and ID, that allows the support team to quickly help users.

Delete Account

In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we allow users to exercise their data subject rights, including the right to erasure or "right to be forgotten", by clicking on the Delete Account button. The user must confirm the action by entering the password associated with the account.

Invite a Friend

A feature that allows users to share information about the app with friends using communications apps such as Messages, WhatApp, Slack, etc.

Log off

It allows users to securely sign out of their account, terminating their session. When the logout button is clicked, users are presented with a confirmation prompt to ensure they intend to log out. This helps prevent accidental logouts and gives users an opportunity to reconsider their decision.

Any changes made to this section require a new build to be submitted to the app stores for approval.
